2007 Chapter Award Winners
On November 20th, the MN ABC presented the 2007 Chapter Awards. ABC has expanded its awards program to recognize members who are dedicated to improving their business, customer service and community through determination and hard work. Members have been nominated by their peers and winners were selected by the Business Development Committee using specific criteria for the following categories:
2007 Construction Company Of The Year - Tech Builders, Inc.
is an award for quality construction and customer service as a company. A member since 2002, this company was nominated by their peers for not only being of the highest quality and integrity, but also their extensive involvement in volunteer efforts in New Orleans & Rushford, Minnesota. Our 2007 winner is Tech Builders, Inc. Jeff Greischar accepted this award on behalf of his company.
2007 Associate Of The Year - Enterprise Fleet Management
– is an award for service to ABC and the industry as a company. This Company was nominated for their high level of support for the chapter through sponsorships, committee volunteers and time commitment to the chapter. This Associate Company relatively new to the chapter, but has already been involved extensively in innovative ABC activities and hosted several membership events. This company is an advocate for merit contractors, a believer in competition in the industry and a supporter of their community. Accepting the award for Enterprise Fleet is Becky Knott.
2007 Magnolia – Construction Woman of the Year – Janet Artmann, Shingobee
Nominees in this category possess distinct qualities. They are patient and strong, advancing their careers in a determined and steady manner. They continually grow and strive to improve. They are generous and sharing, and their good work branches out into their companies and communities and have a positive impact on their surroundings. This year’s winner posses all of these qualities and more. As and active ABC member since 1998, working with the Excellence In Construction Program, CEF Trust Committee and being the most tenured active member of the ABC Safety Committee. She has coordinated training seminars, safety days, negotiated behind the scenes with the OSHA Partnership Program and was instrumental in building the STEP Program for our chapter. In her company, she is the Safety Director and is the backbone of their highly successful safety program. Her energy, enthusiasm and leadership make her stand out in an industry that is traditionally dominated by males. Her ability to promote a positive image for ABC and her company of Shingobee builders makes her the perfect person to win this award.
ABC Member Of The Year - Greg Stotko, Stotko Speedling Construction, Inc.
– is an award for service to ABC & the industry as an individual. This member was nominated for his strong commitment and support of ABC. He serves on the board of directors & as the 2006-2007 Business Development Chair. Always the first to help, his dedication, support and energy to ABC including Legislatively, or assisting with ABCares, and events never goes unnoticed. The members and the Business Development Committee agree that this year’s nominee has gone above and beyond the call of duty for the chapter. He gives so much of himself and we think so much of him, it’s our way of saying thanks.
