What is CEF?
Since its inception, the Construction Education Foundation of Minnesota (CEF of MN) along with its training partner the Associated Builders and Contractors of Minnesota have been committed to helping the construction industry train and make a better workforce.
The CEF of MN has officially been recognized by the State of Minnesota’s Department of Labor and Industry’s Division of Apprenticeship to meet all the requirements for an Association Sponsored Apprenticeship Program. The CEF of MN also promotes a scholarship program called “The ABC Family Scholarship” is sponsored by ABC Members: Lunseth Plumbing and Heating, Protouch Painting, Schneider Consultants, Shingobee Builders and Stotko Speedling Construction. Several scholarships have been awarded in 2007 to promote workforce development.
The CEF of MN is committed to offer training to its members. This 2008 CEF of MN Training Catalog offers classes and seminars in craft and apprenticeship training, on-demand training, continuing education training, management training, legal seminars and safety training. The catalog also provides information on the various programs the CEF of MN supports and assessment testing.
We look for the 2008 training year to be another exciting year of development and growth. Through the CEF of MN we will continue to meet the needs of those desiring standardized training and other methods of training to strengthen and improve your workforce. The CEF of MN always strives to provide superior customer service. ABC Partners with Lorman
ABC Minnesota is dedicated to providing cost-effective training opportunities that meet the needs of our member companies and enhance the skills, knowledge, and competencies of their employees. MN ABC STEP Safety Program a Huge Success in 2007
ABC along with the ABC's Safety Committee would like to thank and recognize the following companies that participated in the 2007 STEP Program! The Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP) program was developed and written by contractors, for contractors.
The following benefits are a part of the ABC STEP Program:
1. Provides an organized approach to analyze and further develop your company's safety and loss prevention program.
2. Provides a valid, objective method to measure safety program improvements.

Looking for a Technical School to talk to or to send your child to?
MN ABC gets calls all the time from parents/members/students looking for a school that could train them to be a mason, an electrician, a carpenter, or any of the other trades; take a look at the following website www.mnscu.edu/programs/FindAProgram.php this is the Minnesota State College and University website and can direct you to schools that offer this type of training in the state of Minnesota. This information can also be useful if you are looking for a recent graduate in any trade or looking to talk do some outreach to those particular programs!
