Accredited Quality Contractor The Accredited Quality Contractor program was launched in 1993 to provide an accreditation program which publicly recognizes and honors those construction firms which have documented their commitment in four key areas of corporate responsibility: 2008 AQC Application (PDF) * Safety * Employee Benefits * Training * Community Relations The construction firms which meet the exacting criteria set forth in the application will be formally acknowledged by ABC as "Accredited Quality Contractors" and will be granted the full privileges that come with the designation. They will be given wide recognition within the industry, the business community and the public. Contractors that successfully qualify as "Accredited Quality Contractors" are accredited for one year and are entitled to all the privileges of the program during that period. "Accredited Quality Contractors" receive a plaque and other benefits, including: * National and local recognition in publications * Authorization to use AQC language in bid documents * Permission to use the AQC logo on letterhead, business cards and jobsite signs And much more. "Accredited Quality Contractors" are acknowledged in ABC’s National Membership Directory and Users Guide with the signature "Q" and ABC’s Construction Referral Service. AQC Pledge: As contractors, we want business owners and the public in general to know that we care about our employees and the communities in which we build, and that we are prepared to demonstrate this concern through our actions. We are proud to be contractors and proud to be an integral part of this great industry. We want our many "publics" to know that we are dedicated to the principles of free enterprise and that we are committed to providing our employees, now and in the future, with the skills they need to work safely and productively on the jobsite. To date there are more than 800 AQC members from more that 40 states and 16 of those are in the MN ABC chapter. More and more companies who call for referrals from across the nation ask for our AQC members first.
