Both were jointly sponsored by the North Dakota Chamber of Commerce, North Dakota Retail Association, North Dakota Taxpayers’ Association and the North Dakota Associated Builders and Contractors. Bismarck: Wednesday, January 13, 2010
Over 75 concerned individuals and employers attended the Bismarck Health Care Town Hall. Speakers included Governor John Hoeven, Kevin Cramer (Public Service Commissioner and candidate for Congress), the North Dakota Chamber of Commerce, the North Dakota Taxpayers’ Association, the North Dakota Realtors, along with State Representatives Karen Karls, Larry Klemen, George Keiser and Margaret Sittle and many concerned employers and individuals. A staffer from Representative Earl Pomeroy’s office also attended, took notes and listened to the comments.
 
Many individuals spoke about their opposition to the current health care reform legislation, and individuals made individual testimonials afterwards. (Video links are below.) ND CRHR collected 27 personal hand-written letters and 24 petition signatures. Attendees expressed deep concerns over the negative impacts of the bill currently being debated in the U.S. Senate. Approximately 100 lawn signs were distributed.
