Getting Involved...The Committees of ABC
The work of the Association is accomplished through the standing committees of ABC. The Association monitors a wide range of issues related to the industry, the region, and the Association. Involvement in a committee is the best way to get involved in ABC and to learn more about the issues that are important to its members.

Board of DirectorsABC's Board of Directors Consists of up to 12 elected members (including appointed officers). Board members serve a three-year term. The Board is responsible for all aspects of the association, including but not limited to: finances, vision and goals.
Business DevelopmentSelects the format and content of networking events and social functions. Produces the Excellence In Construction competition that provides businesses opportunities for award winning projects. Also responsible for AQC, Chapter Awards and ABCares Program.
Education
Selects and promotes educational programs intended to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of professional and managerial personnel.
LegislativeMonitors and responds to local, state and national legislative issues affecting the construction industry. Legally protects member contractors.
Membership
Promotes the stability, growth and quality of the chapter through increased knowledge of the association's services, programs and events.
PAC
Solicits and disburses campaign contributions to candidates running for state and federal offices who have demonstrated a commitment to the principles of merit shop construction.
Safety
Develops programs and services that increase safety awareness and procedures within the construction industry.
Young Professionals Group
Holds regular meetings and events to provide a forum for expanding business contacts, sharing ideas and learning. Social and educational events bring members together throughout the year.
