Every legislator will admit: A five minute conversation with a constituent is the single most effective way to change their vote.
Grassroots action is the heart of ABC, and we strongly encourage our members to reach out to their elected officials to tell them how prevailing wage, project labor agreements, job targeting, and over-regulation, and over-taxation effect them.
All it takes is five minutes. Here are five ways to make a big impact:
- Call your legislator (leave a message and ask them to call back, they'll do it)
- Send an email (it doesn't have to be long or formal)
- Write a note and mail or fax it (faxing Congressmen is especially effective)
- Invite them to visit a jobsite (VERY EFFECTIVE, and ABC will be happy to join you)
- Stop by the office or town hall meeting (in person meetings are the most effective)
