Building Relationships Through Learning & Networking!
The MNABC Emerging Professionals Group provides informative education and social events which allow professionals to learn more about industry issues related to them and to network with others.  Our membership includes General Contractors, Specialty Contractors, Suppliers, as well as others from the construction industry.

The Emerging Professionals Group provides members the opportunity to:
  • Build relationships with peers and other professionals from the construction industry.
  • Gain specialized knowledge through education
  • Grow personally by learning and developing valuable skills, such as leadership, communication, decision making, problem solving and management.
  • Keep up with the latest industry trends.

Our meetings include:
  • Social and educational events held throughout the state on a quarterly basis.
  • Joint events with Professional Groups.

How Can I Get More Involved?
Many early career professionals are interested in getting more involved and building their professional network - the great news is that ABC has numerous committees that need you.  Just visit the committee page and let an ABC staff member know you would like to join.

The Mentor Program
The Mentor Program matches experienced ABC Business Owners with EPG members based on interests or locality.  ABC Mentors commit to providing EPG members with information and encouragement  in  their profession.  EPG members are invited to sign up for the mentor program at anytime.  To request a mentor, email  jeni@mnabc.com and complete the attached interest form.

Early Career Award
The Early Career Award was established to recognize the contributions of Emerging Professionals to the construction field.  The recipient will be selected based on the following criteria.  The ABC Early Career Award will be awarded for the recognized contribution to or achievement in the field on construction by an individual in the early stages of their career defined as: 1) Being active in the field for less than 10 years, or 2) less than 10 years post graduate. Areas in which early career awards may be given are:

Service:  Awarded for contributions to improved services to a company or construction field.

Leadership: Awarded for the performance that 1) has guided or directed others in improving the quality of programs for customers or employees, and 2) is found to be extraordinarily significant by the Awards Committee.

Community Development: Awarded for contributions in public and social communities directed toward improving the quality of life through services for citizens.

About Us
The ABC Emerging Professionals group was founded with the vision of providing, synthesizing and organizing the multitude of information relevant to today's young professionals working in the construction and business related fields.  The ABC Emerging Professionals' Group holds regular meetings and events to provide a forum for expanding business contacts, sharing ideas and learning.  Social and educational events bring our members together throughout the year.  ABC provides a forum for Professionals to ask questions and learn more about the business aspect of the construction industry.  Please contact us with any ideas you have for how EPG can continue to support you, the next generation of leaders.
